Oxygenator Testimonials

Cabela's World Walleye Championship
Oxygenators do their part. Read more >

cabelaThank you SO MUCH for working with the MWC on our World Walleye Championship weigh-in just two weeks ago in Michigan. As you know, we had some challenges last year in handling the fish. We made a few adjustments and what a difference – 94% of the fish were releaseable this year!

Cooler temperatures definitely helped – but I truly believe that requiring the use of Oxygenators in the livewells and the use of U2 livewell additive really made a huge difference also. At first some of the anglers were upset that we were “requiring” equipment to be used on their boats. When they realized that you would provide a loaner for anyone that didn’t want to purchase their own Oxygenator – the nay-sayers quieted down. Wow – you turned them into believers over the course of four days. I’m confident they will want to buy your units when they order new boats in the future!

They saw your product at work – and they KNOW that it helped keep their fish alive. We only had one fish called non-releaseable at the bump. Due to blow conditions on the lake, two days of the four we had a 34 mile (one hour) trek from the river boat launch to the Cabela’s store with the fish. As our TV footage will attest – those walleyes were jumping around so much in the livewells the anglers could hardly get a hold of them to weigh them.

Thank you for working with us on keeping fish alive for our catch and release tournament. Your products work great and I think we showed the public and the tournament anglers that they can definitely improve on their fish handling technique in the boat and during the weigh-in with the right tools – Oxygenators and U2.

Thanks again for all you do in the sportfishing arena.

Regards,

Kristine Houtman | Director, Events & Sponsorships Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit

P.S. We love the Oxygenator system we’ve been using in our bump tanks for the last three years. We’ve experienced tremendous release improvements by properly oxygenating the water. Getting the anglers to also use the system (and the U2) is a tremendous boost to our efforts. We do what we can after we get the fish – but it sure helps that the anglers have done all they can as well. Great teamwork

Thanks for supplying the guys with U2. I had no less than 15 teams everyday asking for more. I also noticed after the first tourney day there sure seemed to be a lot of those yellow cords hanging out of live wells. Another fact I found as I checked fish was the boats with the Oxygenator didnt have dead fish. I look forward to next season and having the best survival rate yet.

Thanks,

I just wanted to let you know how well your oxygenator worked. I was fishing a tournament on the Mississippi river pool 19 a few weeks ago. And anyone that fishes that pool knows what happens when a south wind comes blowing in. We have 30 MPH winds and had 5 foot rollers on the river early on that morning. My boat took several waves over the bow and after a short rough ride up river I lost power to my live wells. I had installed your oxygenator in my boat a few months earlier and never really paid any attention to it after I installed it. It was wired directly to one of my trolling motor batteries so it wasn’t effected by my loss of power to my live wells. I had keeper fish in the live well all day using only your oxygenator, and after 7 hours of fishing the fish were still alive and very active. The only water that was put in the live well was my initial water when I put the fish in there early in the morning. Thanks for a great product. I would suggest to any tournament fishermen to install these on their boats.

More positive feedback coming in about U2 Pro Formula. Read more >

Matt, Don’t know if you’ll get this reply or not but here’s some info for you. I met the owner of the company at the Ranger Owner’s Group Tournament at Table Rock Lake this past May. I bought a bottle of the new U2 that he had on sale. This “stuff” is great! I had been waiting for something that I could use to augment my “Oxygenator” system with. The U2 formula did the trick! So to all of you thanks for the “Oxygenator” and for developing the U2 formula to go with it, I don’t weigh in dead fish, especially in the summer, any more. I’ll never be without either item again.

Thanks!

O2 Marine Technologies has teamed up with Heartland Trails to promote both The Oxygenator and also U2 Pro Formula. With anglers using Oxygenators and U2 Pro Formula in their livewells throughout the tournament day they have the best chance of weighing all their fish alive. Director Ralph Haggard appreciates it when they come to him healthy which in turn makes it easier for him to release back in the fishery healthy. Heartland Trails will be using U2 Pro Formula at bump tanks at their weigh-in's. Ralph can sleep easier knowing he has what he needs to keep fish alive through weigh-in so they can succesfully release them all after a tournament.

marylandStateRecordHere is the story from the man himself:
I have a story that you may be interested in. My name is Ed Riley, and my son Justin Riley and I were fishing an Anglers Choice tournament at the Potomac River on January 26, 2008, when Justin caught a potential new record large mouth bass at 8:15 in the morning. Now this in itself is very newsworthy as Bassmaster and every local news media picked up on it. But that is only the half of it.

We were in my 2005 Skeeter 250 equipped with your Pro Livewell Flush Mount Oxygenator in the live well. After landing the fish, we placed it in the live well and continued to fish the remaining hours of the tournament. We ended up with 4 other quality fish for a total weight of 26 lbs.

Now, this is where your Pro Livewell Flush Mount Oxygenator came to play a very important part of a great story.

We weighed in at 3:00 that afternoon – 7 hours later, which is typical of all tournaments. The fish, including the record fish were all in great shape. We saved the water in the live well and after the weigh-in and all the pictures and interviews, it was now 4:30.

At that time, we had to get the fish to a certified scale to get an official weight. So we drove around for another hour to find a scale. After this, we called Bass Pro Shops in Baltimore, MD to see if they could take the fish and place it in their aquarium. They were delighted to help, so we drove another hour to the store, Once we got there, we had to wait for a biologist to help us with the fish. This whole time, the fish had been living in my boat's live well for a total of 10 hours.

I’m pleased to say that the fish is a new Maryland state record and is doing great in the Bass Pro Shops aquarium.
I do believe that without your Pro Livewell Flush Mount Oxygenator, the fish would have died. This would have been a great loss to all those who could share in the beauty of this fish swimming in Bass Pro Shops aquarium exhibit. So, with that, I thank you.

Ed Riley

Keep'n Fish Alive!!
The benefits of U2 and the Oxygenator continue to pour in from the tournament anglers. Read more >
This is my second tournament season using the U2 Pro Formula and Oxygenator combination in my livewells. I fish several tournaments a year in the deep south where the surface temperature of our lakes can get very hot. These products, used in tandem, have definitely helped me weigh in live and healthy fish. In fact, I have not had a single fish die in my livewells since I started using these products. It is one thing to weigh in live fish but altogether different to know that your catch will survive the whole ordeal and live to fight again another day. The U2 Pro Formula is very easy to use. The dispenser not only takes the guess work out of measuring but is also a time saver. The Oxygenator system is a "no brainer". I can actually see it working, giving me the peace of mind to concentrate on the task at hand, catching fish. I would not want to fish a tournament without this system in my livewells. Thanks for providing us with an awesome product. I'm sure the bass thank you as well.

Update on the oxygenator
Back in March I purchased the Oxygenator from you. I have the Skeeter SX-180 in Menasha Wisconsin. We emailed back and forth a few times with you answering my questions about the Oxygenator. I just wanted to give you an update on how it’s doing. Read more >
The instillation went great. It took me about an hour from start to finish with cleanup and all. I also ran wires to my fuse panel instead of straight to my battery. Since the instillation I have been in 5 tournaments and what a difference it has made. The fish are just as lively when I take them out as when I put them in! The big test came yesterday. I fished in a draw style tournament in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin. Now remember, my boat only has a 30 gallon livewell total with no recirculation system. The tournament started at 7am and by 9am we had 7 fish in the boat. By noon we each had caught our limit of 5 fish each. We had to be back to the launch at 3pm for weigh-in. The guy I was fishing with won with a weight of 17.8 pounds and I took 5th with 14.96 pounds. I missed winning the big bass prize by 0.06 pounds. My big bass weighed 4.82 and the bass that won weighed 4.88. When we pulled the fish out of the livewell they were just as healthy as when we put them in! What a difference the Oxygenator makes! I could not be any happier with it.
I will send you updates from time to time.

I would like to thank you for taking the time to talk to me today. I have
been using the Pro Livewell Flush Mount and the U2 formula for two years now
and I cannot say enough great things about them. I, like every other
tournament angler, have weighed dead fish in years past due to stress and
oxygen depletion in my livewells. What none of us are aware of, is how many
of our fish do not survive AFTER we release them due to stress and oxygen
depletion.

Our goal as tournament fishermen should be more than keeping fish alive
until we get them on the scales. We need to be making a conscious effort to
release the fish as healthy or more healthy than when we caught them. I am
confident that my oxygenators and U2 formula reduce post weigh in mortality
better than any system on the market today.

I would be proud to be on your field staff and help to promote your
products. I appreciate the opportunity.

Thanks for the great products and the chance to help promote it.

I would just like to say thank you for the quick action on your part in helping me trouble shoot my livewell problems, shortly after we spoke, Rocky got in contact with me and made arrangements for me to pick up a bottle of the U2 formula from a local retailer. I had the opportunity to give it a good test last Sunday during a tournament and am happy to say that the system worked perfectly, all fish were live released after a day of pounding Lake Erie waves for 8 hours and just topping up the livewells I didn’t reticulate it once.
I will be referring the Oxygenator and U2 formula to my fellow club members and tournament anglers for both performance and world class customer service.

Sincerely,

Joe Maidment
